As an architect born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, I have always been amazed by our copious sunshine, beautiful blue skies, and vast open spaces that surround us daily. Natural light is the architect’s greatest design tool, with the manipulation of space as close second. However, the single greatest influence on my design sensibility is the fact that I grew up with my father being in a wheelchair.
